Marketing & Partnerships Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and community-minded Marketing & Partnerships Manager to lead and own all marketing efforts for the practice at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a solo marketing role — you will be the single dedicated marketing professional for Colors of Austin Counseling, responsible for both big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution. The Marketing & Partnerships Manager will work directly alongside the CEO and Founder to shape and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, own the development and management of community and corporate wellness partnerships, and drive a consistent flow of referrals into the practice.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up their sleeves to execute — someone who can develop a referral pipeline, manage events end-to-end, build and sustain meaningful partnerships, and ensure brand consistency across all channels. You will be present, engaged, and collaborative, working in close proximity to the CEO on a regular basis.

Company Description:

Colors of Austin Counseling is an inclusive, affirming group therapy practice serving the Austin community and clients virtually across Texas. We are a values-driven team committed to healing, connection, and accessibility — and we believe our marketing should reflect those same principles. As we grow, we are building a more intentional, strategic approach to how we connect with the community, attract the right clients, and amplify the work of our talented clinicians.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Growth
•Develop, own, and execute a comprehensive annual marketing strategy aligned with the practice's growth goals, values, and target populations.
•Identify and pursue new channels, audiences, and opportunities to drive a consistent flow of qualified referrals into the practice.
•Set measurable marketing goals and KPIs; track, analyze, and report on performance to the CEO on a regular cadence.
•Guide the overall brand voice, visual identity, and messaging to ensure consistency and cultural alignment across all platforms.
•Stay current on trends in mental health marketing, healthcare communications, social justice, and the Austin community landscape.

Community & Corporate Wellness Partnerships
•Research, identify, and proactively pursue new community organizations, corporations, nonprofits, schools, and healthcare providers as partnership and referral sources.
•Manage and nurture existing community and corporate wellness partnerships to deepen relationships and maximize mutual impact.
•Develop and pitch wellness partnership proposals to corporate clients interested in employee mental health programming.
•Represent Colors of Austin Counseling at community events, networking opportunities, and partner meetings.
•Maintain a partnership CRM or tracking system to ensure consistent follow-up and relationship management.

Event Planning, Logistics & Execution
•Own the planning, coordination, and execution of all practice events, community tabling, and wellness activations from concept through post-event follow-up.
•Manage event logistics including venue coordination, materials, vendor relationships, branding, staffing, and on-site execution.
•Develop event marketing plans and promotional timelines to maximize attendance and visibility.
•Attend and lead on-site at events, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
•Capture, curate, and distribute post-event content and media to amplify reach across platforms.

Project Management & Practice Operations
•Own and manage all marketing projects independently, maintaining an organized system (e.g., Airtable) to track deliverables, deadlines, and priorities.
•Ensure equitable, consistent marketing of all clinicians and their specialties across all
channels.
•Collaborate with the CEO in a weekly standing meeting to align on strategy, upcoming needs, and practice goals.
•Proactively communicate progress, flag roadblocks, and bring solutions — operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
•Coordinate with external vendors, designers, or contractors as needed for specialized projects.

Content, Digital & Channel Management
•Own and execute content strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, email/newsletter, and the practice website — from creation through scheduling and posting.
•Design and produce branded graphics, flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using Canva, Mailchimp, and Squarespace.
•Manage and post to social media channels Monday–Friday; create Reels, stories, and video content featuring clinicians and wellness topics.
•Ensure all content is HIPAA-compliant, inclusive, affirming, and aligned with the practice's values and tone.
•Lead SEO strategy and blog coordination to improve search visibility and organic referral traffic.

Expectations:

•Work closely and collaboratively with the CEO, functioning as a trusted thought partner on marketing and growth.
•Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
•Uphold an inclusive, affirming, and community-centered approach in all marketing activities.
•Participate in a weekly standing meeting with the CEO to align on priorities, strategy, and projects.
•Be available for occasional evening or weekend events and community engagements.
•Operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and proactive communication.

Required Qualifications and skills:

•3–5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or business development — with demonstrated experience in strategy, not just execution.
•Experience in healthcare, mental health, wellness, or a mission-driven/nonprofit setting strongly preferred.
•Proven track record of building and managing partnerships, corporate accounts, or community relationships.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to independently prioritize and execute across multiple workstreams.
•Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn: Canva, Mailchimp, Airtable, Squarespace, and social media platforms.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong eye for design and brand consistency.
•Understanding of HIPAA and ethical, compliant marketing practices in a healthcare setting.
•Must reside in Austin, TX with reliable transportation; must be available for in-person work and events.
•Ability to work in close proximity to the CEO and Founder on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience with corporate wellness program development or employee assistance program (EAP) partnerships.
•Existing network of community organizations, referral sources, or corporate contacts in the Austin area.
•Familiarity with mental health, social justice, and DEI topics as they relate to community-centered marketing.
•Experience with CRM tools, referral tracking, or analytics platforms.
•Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Environment:

Location: Austin, TX — Primarily in-person/hybrid with the CEO; remote flexibility for independent work.

Compensation:

Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay Rate: $40/hour, commensurate with experience
