Jay Thomas

As the Billing Assistant, I help the practice and our clients demystify the complexities of health insurance, particularly mental health benefits, and manage various financial needs. I have extensive experience in healthcare billing and previously spent several years as an LGBTQ+ health advocate, guiding queer individuals across the country through their gender-affirming healthcare journeys.

With a degree in Psychology, I am excited to continue my professional journey with a practice that aligns so closely with my personal values. As a Latine, nonbinary, trans person born and raised in Texas, it is important to me to be a resource through whom individuals of marginalized identities feel welcome and supported. Outside of work, I am an event producer and performance artist focusing on events for queer and BIPOC communities. I also enjoy spending time with my spouse and our three "fur children," and picking up new hobbies. My latest project is learning to play the drums.
