I am drawn to the therapy world because I have always loved listening to and supporting others in their toughest moments. What drives me to keep going as a therapist is my desire to help individuals make a change in their lives that helps them live a more fulfilled life.
My therapeutic approach is based in person-centered and creative techniques. I incorporate expressive and embodied techniques to help clients process emotions, externalize internal struggles, explore new roles, and imagine new possibilities. I believe in meeting clients where they are at and view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative space for exploration, healing, and growth. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with a strong commitment to social justice and equity. I strive to create a safe and affirming environment where clients feel seen, empowered, and supported in their journeys toward self-understanding and resilience.
I am currently completing my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at East TexasA&M University. I also hold a Master of Arts in Drama Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from New York University.
I am originally from quite a few places. I was born in Georgia and growing up I lived in Oregon, Hawaii, and Oklahoma. I lived in NYC for about ten years before moving to Texas.Outside of work, I love to discover new restaurants, travel, spend time with my cats (Sylvie and Loki), read, and watch television and movies.
