1099 Contractor - hybrid fully licensed Therapist position overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fully Licensed Therapist to join our team as a 1099 Contractor. This hybrid position allows you to maintain your independence while benefiting from our supportive environment and comprehensive administrative assistance. As a contractor, you will receive 55% of each billable hour you perform during the 90 day ramp up period, with an option to increase that percentage split at the end of your 90 day period. This role requires a commitment to a minimum of 20 billable hours per week (40 per bi-weekly cycle).

The Clinical Therapist will provide outpatient individual and group therapy to clients of Colors of Austin Counseling, PLLC  virtually or in person with locations in the East Austin area. Clinical therapy services may include treatment of adults, children, adolescents, couples and families. We specialize in providing racial trauma-informed, culturally affirming therapy to people with marginalized identities and we work to reduce barriers to mental health services by providing high-quality clinical services to all. Our practice is multidisciplinary and offers a wide variety of services. We are open to applicants who practice from all different therapeutic backgrounds and are especially seeking clinicians who specialize in Play Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. The Clinical Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining all required licensure, education and supervision required by the Behavioral Health Executive Council. The Clinical Therapist shall report directly to the Clinical Lead.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions to clients according to their needs and treatment plans.

  • Maintain a minimum clinical caseload of 20 billable hours per week in addition to administrative duties as assigned. 

  • Perform virtual and on-site clinical counseling services to clients of Colors of Austin Counseling, as scheduled.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Collaborate with the client care coordinator for scheduling, intakes, and inquiries, ensuring a smooth client experience.

  • Work closely with the billing specialist to manage billing and insurance claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute insights and expertise to enhance our therapeutic services.

  • Participate in bi-monthly professional development Continuing Education Unit (CEU) offerings to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

  • Utilize our beautiful office space on the East Side of Austin for in-person sessions, as desired.

  • Engage in team gatherings and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

  • Seek consultation and support from the leadership team when needed to ensure high-quality client care.

  • Understand and follow all policies and procedures of Colors of Austin Counseling as a Clinician. 

Requirements:

  • Fully licensed as a Therapist or Psychologist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, etc.) in the state of Texas. LPC-Associates will be considered if they are half way through their clinical hours.

  • Demonstrated experience providing effective therapy to individuals and possibly groups.

  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards related to therapy and client care.

  • Alignment with mission, vision, and values of the practice

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to maintain a minimum of 20 billable hours per week.

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized client records.

  • Option to be an approved in-network provider on at least one Colors of Austin Counseling-affiliated insurance panel.

  • Willingness to embrace a hybrid work model, utilizing our office space as needed.

  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and growth.

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit in becoming an established clinician in private practice

Sessions will take place virtually and in person at our offices as needed.

Compensation:

Compensation is based on 55% of each billable hour you perform during the 90 day ramp up period. An option to increase that percentage split at the end of your 90 day period is available. This position is classified as a 1099 contractor.
