Colors of Austin Counseling is currently looking for amazing people to join our growing team!

Colors of Austin Counseling (COAC) is a community of helping professionals working to enhance the mental well being of kids, adults, families, and couples in our community. We specialize in providing racial trauma-informed, culturally affirming therapy to people with marginalized identities and we work to reduce barriers to mental health services by providing high-quality clinical services to all. We are a fun and dynamic group of clinicians who value working collaboratively and helping improve the health and wellness of our communities. In addition to offering telehealth services, we have an office located in the heart of East Austin.

It is important that providers at COAC align with the mission and values of the practice. We believe in creating the best atmosphere for our clients and employees and in giving back to our community. The practice values diversity, creativity and courage and we are passionate about working with members of our communities to thrive in both their own lives and in their relationships. We believe in access for all regardless of race, gender or financial ability.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • A self-starter. Someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is not afraid to take risks and try it out once before asking questions.

  • A student at heart. Someone who is willing to fail and try again, knowing that it’s never really a failure but a lesson learned.

  • A champion for liberatory mental health. Someone who is not just passionate about client work but the larger macro work we value here at COAC that aims to decolonize mental health.

  • A valued team player and a dedicated teammate. Someone who seeks community to be on this journey with, to ask questions, to offer others support, and to remember they are never in this alone. Someone who wants to stick around for a while.

  • A humble and curious soul. Someone who doesn’t have all the answers and is self-aware enough to know that.

  • A compassionate presence. Someone who understands the courageous journey that our clients have embarked on to get to us.

  • A harm-reduction proponent. Someone who knows that being a therapist is a privilege and wields that form of power with the express intent to not harm others.

  • A purposeful leader. Someone who believes in what we do and has their own “why” propelling them to new heights.
