Part Time marketing assistant

Position Overview:

The Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in promoting our practice, ensuring our mission and services reach those in need. This role requires creativity, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusivity and HIPAA compliance.

Colors of Austin Counseling is a leading multidisciplinary group therapy practice located in vibrant Austin, Texas. Since our establishment in 2018, we have been dedicated to serving our community by offering individual and group therapy services both online and in person, exclusively within the state of Texas.

As a highly respected therapy practice in Central Texas, we boast a team of ten highly skilled clinicians with diverse licensures and backgrounds. Our clinicians possess an extensive range of training and certifications, including specialties in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Play Therapy, Couples Therapy, the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method™, Art Therapy, and more. By incorporating various therapeutic modalities, we ensure that we can cater to the unique needs and preferences of each individual client.

Responsibilities:

HIPAA Compliance:

● Ensure all marketing activities comply with HIPAA regulations.

● Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.

Team Support:

● Be responsive and communicative with team members as needed.

● Participate in a weekly 30-minute meeting with the CEO to discuss projects and tasks from the Leadership Team.

Social Media Management:

● Manage Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook accounts, ensuring daily postings Monday - Friday.

● Research relevant mental health trends, social justice issues, and awareness days.

● Incorporate videos, Reels, and team showcases into the content calendar.

● Create engaging content using Canva and tag original creators when using their content.

● Use relevant hashtags and engage with other social media accounts.

Newsletter Creation:

● Create visually appealing monthly newsletters using MailChimp.

● Write content in a friendly, conversational tone, embedding all relevant links.

● Test newsletters for functionality and send them for review by the CEO before scheduling.

● Ensure newsletters are sent to all subscribers and shared on Facebook.

Event Marketing:

● Promote practice events to local organizations and community groups via various electronic platforms.

● Create marketing materials for events.

● Share post-event photos and media on social platforms.

Website Updates:

● Regularly update the practice website using Squarespace.

● Add new group offerings, clinician bios, and blog posts.

● Update fees, scheduling policies, and contact information as needed

Social Media Outreach:

● Engage with accounts aligned with our mission and vision.

● Seek opportunities for IG Live collaborations and online events to raise mental health awareness.


Expectations:

● Be responsive and flexible with work environments and schedules.

● Demonstrate creativity and self-sufficiency.

● Foster inclusivity in thoughts, actions, and marketing.

● Support and encourage team members with high attention to detail.


Required Skills:

● Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Proficiency in social media platforms, Canva, Airtable, Mailchimp and Squarespace.

● Ability to create engaging content and manage multiple projects.

● Familiarity with social justice issues and mental health trends.


COMPENSATION:

  • No more than 15 hours a week of work and $22 an hour for pay.
