My name is Natalie Boone and I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker focused on improving the lives of children and families through an integrative approach to therapy. I am compassionate, patient, warm, and open-mind in my work with clients. At the root of my practice it is my hope to provide you with a safe, healing, and growth oriented space where you feel understood. In our work together I will create a therapeutic plan to match the unique and specific needs that the client brings.
I am passionate about helping children and teens overcome the sometimes tough things that life throws their way. Including navigating complex emotions, low self-esteem, and past or present trauma. I specialize in working with youth and families who have experienced trauma, attachment issues, and family of origin issues. By working together to heal from adverse life experiences we can move towards building healthy relationships, both with ourselves and others and develop the tools that are needed to sustain lasting change.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Science with a Minor in Child Development from the University of Florida. From there I began my work as a Youth Advocate at a local domestic violence shelter where my passion for helping traumatized youth grew. I then chose to pursue my Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I have experience working with children 4 and up, adolescents, adults, parents, and families in a variety of settings. These include domestic violence shelters, home-based services, school settings, and now private practice work. I am an active board member of the Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy and am passionate about connecting with children and teens in a relatable way.
