Sometimes we just need someone to talk to. Someone with an outside perspective. Who won't judge. But will help us find our way out of the pit, through the muck, figure out next steps, or where things went wrong. When therapy works, it can feel like sitting and talking with a good friend. Getting help with the things that are hard. Talking through tough decisions. Getting guidance. Venting. Making progress.

Therapy is about healing or recovery. Looking for counsel on next steps, and how to get on with the changes life brings. And sometimes, we don't know what we need.  We just know something needs to change.

You can feel better. Trauma can heal, next steps can be taken, and you can once again look forward to the everyday. This is a safe place to share, ask, question, learn and grow. And heal.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Cedar Park, Texas. For the past two decades, I have worked with adoptive and birth parents, teens parenting in high school, hospice families, and with NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) families. I was the program director for a national non-profit working bedside with families in the NICU. I created a curriculum for and facilitated NICU support groups, developed programs, educational materials and a bead necklace program celebrating the NICU milestones which are in use in hospitals across the United States. I also provided training for NICU professional across the country on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) and NICU trauma.

I enjoy working with families, couples and kiddos. In addition to NICU and other traumas, I specialize in ADHD, adoption, anxiety, depression, adjusting to new situations or events in life, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS). To quote a favorite therapist, “I am not listening to problems, I am listening for solutions.” Although I consider myself a solution-focused, person centered therapist, I practice using a multi-faceted approach to therapy. I believe that every client and every session is different and requires fine tuning to the moment.

You deserve to feel better. Together we can work to highlight your strengths, find your path to joy and get through the hurdles of life.
