This creative group walks us through Dr. Brene Brown’s book, Daring Greatly which explores the link between vulnerability and courage. Members will take away increased awareness of where their shame lies along with practical strategies for fostering resilience in the face of adversity.
What is art journaling?
According to Dina Wakly; "Simply put, an art journal is a journal in which you combine art and words to express yourself. That’s it. It’s not complex, and there really aren’t any rules for art journaling. It’s all about self-expression."
What will I be doing in an art journaling group?
Each group will consist of the following components:
-A check in with your fellow group members
-An exploration of a different concept within the book each week
-Engagement in a creative exercise
-Processing of the exercise and your experience with other group members
Do I need to have any art experience to join this group?
No! Absolutely not. In our groups we practice courage through embracing our imperfections.
In this workshop you will: Journal, Connect, Paint, Discuss topics of Vulnerability/Authenticity/Creativity, Move, Collaborate, Grow, Learn how to practice empathy with others, Play, Reflect, & Inspire each other
Fees : $400 for 10 weeks + a one time supply fee of $50; A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at sign up to secure your spot in the group. The balance of $350 must be paid in full by January 15, 2018. **HSA & FSA accepted as payment.**
